Home Run Ministries Privacy Policy

Home Run Ministries recognizes the importance of protecting the privacy and security of your personal information. We provide this Privacy Statement to help you understand what we may do with any personal information that we obtain from you. By providing us with your personal information, you signify your acceptance of this Privacy Statement and agree that we may collect, use, and disclose your personal information as described herein. If you do not agree to this statement, please do not provide your personal information to us via this website.

Collection of Information

We collect three types of information through our website.

1. Data gathered automatically; 2. Data gathered for customization (“cookies”); and 3. Information you provide to us.

Data Gathered Automatically

When you visit our site, some information such as your Internet network address, Internet service provider, operating system, Web browser version, site from which you arrived, and the time and date of your visit may be collected automatically as part of normal website operation. This information is not personally identifiable, that is, it is anonymous. We do not link it to any personally identifiable information you submit while using our site. We use this information to track Web browsing patterns to better understand how our website is being used, what areas of our website are not being used, and, when necessary, to troubleshoot problems with the site. These resources collectively aid us in improving your experience on our website.

Data Collected for Customization (“Cookies”)

A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your browser that allows the website to “remember” your preferences such as calendar settings and site bookmarks, or to maintain your “logged in” status while visiting protected areas of our website. Session cookies expire and are removed from your hard drive when you close your Web browser. Persistent cookies remain on your hard drive for extended periods of time. We use both session and persistent cookies on this site. The use of cookies helps us facilitate your use of the site, and evaluate your usage patterns so that we can improve website content and organization. We do not link the information stored in persistent cookies to any personally identifiable information you submit while using our website.

You can delete persistent cookies by following the directions provided by your Web browser. You may also set your Web browser to reject cookies from our site. If you choose to do this, you can still use our site but you may not be able to access the full functionality of some sections of it. You can obtain more information about how to manage cookies from www.aboutcookies.org.

Email Trackbacks

Mass emails sent from HRM (including those using third-party communications tools) used for weekly updates and reminders may include a unique trackback code to assist HRM in better understanding the readership of email communication. The trackback URLs may contain a number or other information which indicates if the emails are successfully sent, opened, and/or rejected (bouncebacks). We use this information to better understand how our community members prefer that we communicate with them.

Information You Provide to Us

To communicate effectively with visitors to our website, as well as members of our school community, we may ask you for personally identifiable information that can include your name, mailing address, email address, telephone number, birth date, etc. It is your choice to provide us with this personal information; we only collect personal information that you provide by email, participating in a survey, or completing an on-line form. HRM will never sell or trade personally identifiable information you provide to us through this website to other schools, colleges, universities, organizations, or businesses unless we have your consent to share the information or are sharing such information in response to a subpoena, court order, or other legal process. We may utilize the services of third party software providers to carry out the purposes for which data was collected. These providers will be under written agreement to provide the same safeguards to protect your personal information. We will retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide you with the services you need and are using at HRM or as needed to comply with our legal obligations.

We employ generally accepted industry practices to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it, from access by unauthorized persons and against unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction, or damage. Accepted industry practices include implementation and monitoring of reasonable technical, physical, and administrative controls. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however, and no system of internal controls can be 100% guaranteed from fraud or failure. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially reasonable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Some communications are non-secured. Transmissions such as email and blogs, which may be delivered using our brand, may not utilize such secure transmission techniques and you should not transmit information you consider highly sensitive via less secure methods.

When you submit personal information via online forms such as online giving, registration and applications, that information is encrypted via the highest level of SSL (Secured Sockets Layer) available over a network protected by firewall security. Servers that store personally identifiable information are in a secure environment. Credit card and bank account numbers are never stored permanently on our website servers or our computers. Those numbers are encrypted and transmitted directly to a PCI-compliant merchant processor.
